The Center for Neurological Studies is proud to welcome former NFL Lions quarterback, Eric Hipple as an Outreach Specialist.
Eric led the Detroit Lions on the field in a 10-season career spanning the 1980s. Motivated by his teenage son’s suicide, Eric’s post-retirement career has been dedicated to sharing information in an effort to reduce the negative stigma surrounding depression and mental illness.
In his outreach role at CNS, Eric will share information about CNS, focusing on retired NFL players, helping them understand how we are improving the lives of people with neurobehavioral disorders.
Earlier this month, Eric was announced as a finalists for the NFL’s Salute To Service Award for his work with NAVY U.S. Fleet Forces, conducting workshops on mental fitness.
“Eric is an important member of our outreach team,” said John D Russell CEO/Founder. “We are thrilled for him to potentially receive this recognition for the work Eric and CNS does with veterans.”
